The train ride was great fun. Jodi's cousin Brian picked us and the bikes up at the train station in a borrowed van. We went to his flat and stowed our stuff. Soon after a handful of Jodi's family( mom, aunt, cousins, ect..) showed up and we began drinking at the farmhouse, which is the pub that was 50 yards away. That lasted about 5 or 6 hours and 6 or so rounds.
Afterwards everyone walked back to Brian's flat and we ordered pizza and Indian take away. A little more drinking and talking then we finally went to bed around midnite.
Today, Monday we had some toast and coffee, then Brian drove us to Ipswich and I checked out some British clothes and bought a new raincoat for Tuesday's bike trip. We then got lunch at a nice pub for an awesome beef pie then headed to meet Jodi's grandmother. A handful of family was already waiting at Jodi's grandmothers flat and visited for a bit. Then everyone piled into Brian's flat to get ready for another family outing.
Fun notes were the existence of electric fake coal in the pub fireplace and the McDonald's here has some burger called the Arizona Nacho Grande.(pictured)
The whole family including grandmother aunt, cousins, cousins kids ect. Met back up at the farmhouse for food and 5 or 6 rounds of pints. It was Jodi's aunts birthday so a cake appeared and the song was sung . I had my first Gamon steak which was a slice of ham with an egg on it. We then walked back to the flat and got in bed by 12:00 to start our bike trip to Felixstowe the next morning.
