We made it through the stuffed tube and boarded the train with the bikes. We were in a shoulder to shoulder car in the tube(subway) almost blocking doors and somehow a couple with a Hummer sized stroller packed n as well. Hauling the pannier laden bikes up and down the steps and through the crowds was definitely more work than the average person is prepared to go for on a vacation.

Earlier today we went to the bike shop for a few repairs and swung by to see Big Ben and Westminister Abbey on the way back to Trafalgar Square to grab our bags then on to tackle public transport .

Ipswich is coming up next. Almost time to try to snatch the bikes and get out. Most of the English have been very hospitable but these train operators are a little tightly wound. Hopefully well get them out without incident.
